Wang Yao
Biography & Research Interests
Wang Yao is a second year PhD student in C3Imaging at NUIG, funded by IRC and Xperi. She is currently I'm focusing on research topics in facial recognition models, including security, robustness, dataset augmentation and novel architectures. Wang has a BSc in Computer Science from Southwest University and Master on Engineering from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and her previous research work largely concentrated on computer vision, in particular image quality assessment.
Research Activities
Exploring novel architectures and techniques regarding face recognition models.
Investigating urgent security problems for face recognition models, including adversarial attacking, adversarial training and dataset augmentation.
Solving challenges of face recognition tasks on hard complex scenarios by employing the cutting-edge Generative Adversarial Network (GAN).
