University Scholars and Awards

Údarás na hOllscoile will confer the title University Scholar on students who obtain the minimum requirement at the relevant examination as specified in the University Scholar Scheme. The title University Scholar may be held with other Scholarships or Grants awarded by the University or by an external body.

Scholar awardees will receive a Scroll and letter and will also be contacted via email with further details.

Our awards recognise the academic achievement across the spectrum of students at University of Galway.  The purpose of the awards is to encourage each student to develop his/her academic potential to the fullest, by setting a realistic threshold of excellence and rewarding every student who attains that level. A great deal of thanks and appreciation is due to our sponsors as without their support and commitment over the years, many of the awards would not be possible.

Awardees will be contacted with further details.
