Biography

She studied social anthropology at the University of the Aegean (Mytilene, Greece), then obtained her master's degree and doctorate in social anthropology in Paris, at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). Her research focuses on forced migration in Eastern Europe in the 20th century. During her post-doctoral studies (2020-2021) at CEFRES (Centre Français de Recherche en Sciences Sociales - Prague), she participated as a member of the project ¿De-imperial Europe: A Resentful Confederation of Vanquished Peoples?¿, which was carried out as part of the TANDEM program developed by the Czech Academy of Sciences, Charles University and CEFRES/CNRS. In parallel with the BILQIS project, she is taking part in the ¿Passés d'Exil¿ project (under the direction of Evelyne Ribert CNRS/EHESS) on the reception of refugees in the Paris region, as well as in the project financed by the Ecole francais d'Athènes (2022-2026)

She is a member of the Institut Convergences Migrations in Paris and a research associate at the Laboratoire de l'Anthrpologie Politique (LAP), EHESS, Paris.
