Aisling McNally


Aisling is a PhD student in Law at the School of Law, University of Galway. Her research focuses on domestic violence, intimate partner homicide and the responses of principal stakeholders when engaging with victims and survivors of these crimes. The methodology employed in the research is Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, which focuses on the lived experience of the individual and how they make sense of specific situations. In particular, how do stakeholders understand and perceive their role in responding to these crimes. She worked part-time as a tutor in Criminal Law in the Law School and has previous experience tutoring and teaching in the Law Faculty at Université de Bretagne Sud in Vannes, France. She holds an LLM in Public Law with a focus on Criminal Justice (2020) and a Bachelor of Corporate Law and Legal French Degree (2018) from National University of Ireland, Galway, graduating from both with a First-Class Honours.
