Dr. Brian Tobin Presents Paper on Surrogacy Legislation at University of Sussex Workshop
Dr Brian Tobin presented a paper critiquing Ireland's approach to surrogacy arrangements in the Health (Assisted Human Reproduction) Bill 2022 at the workshop, Surrogacy Beyond the Carceral: Culture, Law and Lived Experience, which was hosted by the Centre for Cultures of Reproduction, Technologies and Health (CORTH) at the University of Sussex in the U.K. last week.
The 2022 Bill passed both Houses of the Oireachtas last week, and yesterday (2nd July) it was signed into law by the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins.
