Automated External Defibrillator (AEDs)

An AED is used to treat a victim of a sudden cardiac arrest. Training is provided by the Health & Safety office for any staff who wish to volunteer to become trained in the operation of these life saving devices. Training is also included in the standard First Aid Training course. There are 20 AEDs located throughout the campus and a full list of buildings where they are located as well as a map can be found on the H&S website here.

Bomb Threat

In the highly unlikely event that you or a colleague receives a bomb threat, try to remain calm and gather as much information as possible. Most bomb threats are received by phone, but may sometimes be received in person, by email or by letter. Full guidance for how to deal with such a threat under each scenario is contained within the document below. If you are organising an event it is important that you familiarise yourself with this document prior to the event commencement.
