Transition year workshop for school pupils

The Centre for Astronomy regularly participates in the transition year experience organized by the School of Natural Sciences for school pupils entering the senior cycle. If you are interested in studying natural sciences or even astronomy, why not ask if your school is participating and sign up for the event. This year our transition year experience was held in the week of April 8th. Students learned about planets around distant stars in our astronomy workshop and got to design aliens that could live in the diverse and sometimes hostile environments these planets provide.
