Website Accessibility
The University of Galway has hundreds of web editors, each responsible for a portion of the thousands of webpages that the university host. As such, the Information Solutions and Services Department (ISS) are reliant on the cooperation of web editors in adhering to web accessibility guidelines and ensuring that our site can be accessed and navigated by all users.
As of November 2023, the University of Galway is ranked 2nd across all Irish Higher Education Institutions on Silktide, a web governance platform that tracks web accessibility and highlights issues that might arise with our site. We have made tremendous strides in recent months in creating accessible content but continued progress depends on your cooperation.
