Access Centre
Welcome to the Access Centre
The Access Centre works to ensure the equal access and participation of students at University of Galway from groups that are traditionally regarded as under-represented in higher education. The Access Centre operates a student lifecycle model in delivering this support, which involves working with students and their parents/guardians at pre-entry, transition, post-entry and employment levels.
Entry Routes
Through its Access and Foundation programmes, as well as Mature Student, FET, DARE and HEAR schemes, the Access Centre provides a number of alternative admissions entry routes for underrepresented students.
Student Supports
At a post-entry level, the Access Centre’s support services include and are not limited to; the Disability Support Service, our Post-Entry Support Team, Mature Students Officer and Support Worker for those with experience of the care system.
