Biography:
Dr. Josephine Boland is Senior Lecturer in Education in the
School of Medicine, National University of Ireland Galway, specialising in
curriculum and assessment in the particular context of medical education. She
leads a Curriculum Mapping research and development project in the School. She
serves as director of the Masters in Clinical Education, teaches on the
Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education and leads an undergraduate module in
Digital Literacy for Tomorrow’s Doctors.
Her doctoral research focused on embedding civic engagement
within the curriculum and latterly she has extended her scholarship and
practice to include community engaged research. As a founding member of
CORA (Community Engaged Research in Action (a community of practitioners of
community engaged researchers in NUI Galway) she has supported and undertaken
collaborative research projects with community partners, using participatory
research methods. |
