Biography

Nora Ward is a lecturer in Philosophy/Ethics in the discipline of Philosophy at the School of History and Philosophy, University of Galway. Her areas of specialization is environmental philosophy, with a focus on environmental ethics, ecofeminism, and environmental justice. 

Research Interests

My research attends broadly to the normative dimensions of environmental modalities and practices. My current project considers the role of ecological attentiveness in addressing ethical concerns relating to animal welfare and biodiversity conservation. Past work has focused on deep ecology, ecofeminism, the environmental thought of John Moriarty, and ecomodernism.
