Welcome to the ILAS News and Events page. The ILAS Engagement Programme was launched in 2023. Focusing on key areas of the Institute’s interest in the life course, the programme was designed around two new events series: the ILAS International Training Series and the ILAS Public Policy Innovation Series

The ILAS International Training Series provided training on state-of-the-art methodological approaches for conducting impactful life-course research and the ILAS Public Policy Innovation Series examined policy making innovation across the life course and offered a space for policy stakeholders to critically reflect on what makes effective public policy.

We have had the pleasure of hosting many expert speakers covering a wide range of topics and are happy to share some of the highlights of these events with you below. Recordings of some events may also be viewed here.

ILAS

The Institute aims to advance people’s lives in Ireland and internationally who face issues with older life, living with disability, children, youth and parents who are vulnerable in social and other contexts. The research at the Institute is underpinned by academic staff and researchers who are keen the work we do makes a difference.
