Supporting Our Senior Citizens at Christmas

In the spirit of community and care, Shannon College of Hotel Management proudly partners with An Garda Síochána and local businesses to support a heartwarming annual initiative: Christmas Dinner Deliveries and a Party for Senior Citizens.

Launched in 2017, this initiative brings holiday cheer to elderly residents in Shannon, Sixmilebridge, Cratloe, and Newmarket-on-Fergus, aiming to combat social isolation and ensure every senior enjoys a warm meal and festive celebration during the Christmas season.

This year, Shannon College will help deliver over 400 Christmas dinners and co-host a special Christmas party for senior citizens in the area.

It’s a celebration of community spirit, compassion, and connection, especially for those who might otherwise spend the holiday alone.

Shannon College is proud to be part of such a meaningful and impactful tradition that reflects our values of hospitality, inclusion, and service.
