Research Ireland funded research
At DSI research is carried out on a number of Research Ireland (RI) programmes which are listed below. The Insight RI Centre for Data Analytics accounts for the largest proportion of the research funding from RI. It is a key part of the portfolio of funding that is carried out at DSI and spans all of the DSI themes and research units. The work that is carried out on the other Centres add breadth and domain variety to the areas of data science that are researched at DSI. The Confirm research at DSI (now completed) provided a strong manufacturing and supply chain focus. DSI research on Adapt looks at term extraction for under-resourced Languages. Vistamilk research at DSI looks food supply chain management using blockchains.
