Launch of Opportunities for Youth: National Strategy for Youth Work and Related Services 2024-2028

A keynote address was delivered by Dr. Bernadine Brady, Associate Director, UNESCO Child and Family Research Centre, University of Galway at the recent launch of Opportunities for Youth: National Strategy for Youth Work and Related Services 2024-2028 by Minister Roderic O’Gorman.

The Strategy delivers on a commitment in Young Ireland: National Policy Framework for Children and Young People 2023-2028, which recognises the important role of youth work services in improving outcomes for young people and the need for a more strategic direction for the delivery of such services.

In her address, Dr Brady shared research evidence underlining the critical role of youth work in creating a healthy and nurturing social environment for our young people.
