Tadhg Kilbane is a postgraduate student at the Molecular Parasitology Laboratory (MPL). He completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Galway. In November 2022 he began working as a research assistant under the supervision of Dr Carolina De Marco Verissimo. In September 2023 he began working to achieve a Research Masters in Zoology, under the supervision of Dr. Carolina and Prof. John Dalton working on serpins from the F. hepatica parasite. After completing his MSc degree Tadhg began his PhD in October 2025 under the supervision of Prof. John Dalton, Dr. Richard Lalor and A/Prof. Sheila Donnelly working on the characterisation of serpins from the Schistosoma mansoni genome and future vaccine studies against Schistosomiasis
