Grace Davey

Grace Davey holds a BSc in Microbiology, an MSC in Biotechnology and a PhD in Molecular Biology with past research interests focused on biomarker identification and development using functional genomics and transcriptomics. She is a senior programme manager with over 25 years research and management experience in Irish and EU-funded collaborative and translational research projects involving large multinational and multidisciplinary teams. Grace was also grant writer & project coordinator of her own €1.1M Irish Research programme.
Grace joined the MPL in February 2026 as Programme Manager across the laboratory’s main thematic areas and hopes to use her translational experience to support the team in investigating the use of helminth derived proteins for vaccine development, diagnostics and novel biotherapeutics.
