This is the prototype area to demonstrate how the new micro-cred list and pages (currently under development) will appear, once launched.

Notes:

  1. Above is the prototype filterable list for all published micro-creds.  There are no images so that it will remain usable on mobile devices.  As with other course lists, only the left column is visible on small devices (in portrait orientation).
  2. There is only 1 micro-cred in this demo list, which is all we need to show off the list & filter feature.
  3. The filter dropdown (top right) will contain all your subject areas - for this example only a few are included (just enough for you to see how it will work).
  4. When you select a subject area, it auto filters on that.  If you select an empty subject area (e.g. 'Quick Filter: Off'), it expects you to manually type in a filter string.
  5. Clicking on an item will send you to that micro-cred's detail page.  The single example, above, links to the prototype detail page, so you can see how they will look.  Further notes are on that page.
  6. The left navigation bar will list all the micro-cred pages you create.  Like courses, there will be a sub-section for each one, containing a microcred content type and possibly some testimonial content types. Right now, there's only 1 sub-section (for the prototype detail page) so the left-nav is fairly short, but when all the micro-creds are published, the left-nav will enable people to jump between different micro-cred pages easily - even when viewing the detail pages.
  7. Note the downloads link below.  This will be inherited by all the other micro-cred sections, so you only have to add it once.  This inheritance can be overridden for individual sections.
  8. Special care has been made, with this prototype design, to ensure the future micro-creds pages will be fully accessible, and mobile-friendly.  If you visit our T4 bookmarklets page, you can drag a mobile device viewer onto your browser's bookmarks bar.  This will allow you to easily see what this page (or any other University of Galway webpage) would look like on phones/tablets.
