Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions are a European Commission Funding Programme that supports researchers at all stages of their careers, across all research disciplines and in all employment sectors: Postdoctoral fellowships, doctoral networks and staff exchanges as well at the COFUND option, for institutes to run their own calls. The opening and closing dates for these calls are similar each year.
MSCA fund excellent and innovative research training as well as attractive career development and knowledge-exchange opportunities through cross-border and cross-sector mobility of researchers, to better prepare them for current and future societal challenges. This funding aims to reinforce cooperation between academia and all types of non-academic organisations (companies, hospitals, public bodies etc.) in terms of research training, career development and knowledge transfer.
The Irish Marie Skłodowska-Curie Office provide excellent resources to support researchers, and their YouTube channel provides an excellent webinar series and case studies of wining projects. Their website also supplies an updated series of handbooks every year.
