Negative Embodied Sacrificial Template 3D Printing for Osteochondral Regeneration
Stephanie Doyle, PhD Candidate, RMIT University, Melbourne
Monday, November 7th 2022 from 11.00-12.0
Seminar Room, Biomedical Sciences Building, University of Galway
Stephanie is currently an PhD student at RMIT University in Melbourne. Her PhD project is focused on the generation of scaffolds for the mechanical reinforcement and regeneration of osteochondral tissue. This was further divided into three key areas; the development of a new 3D printing workflow for the creation of biomimetic scaffolds, mechanical reinforcement of a cartilage regeneration scaffold and mechanical reinforcement and exploration of a self-stimulative bone scaffold.
She has received multiple awards for her research, such as the ISBF Asia/Oceania Young Scientist Award (2021), the STEM College Sessional Educator Award (2021) and the Research Endowment Fund Grant, two years in a row. She is the ASBTE Student Representative for Victoria and the Biomedical Engineering RMIT Student Society president.
Stephanie has published in the prestigious Biomaterials, and has three first author papers to date.
