Dr Sudipto Das is a Lecturer and Principal Investigator in the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). Dr Das leads the Epigenetics of Gastrointestinal Diseases research group at RCSI, wherein his group focusses on integrating advanced computational approaches together with state-of -art in vitro/ex vivo systems to identify new epigenetics focussed biomarkers and therapeutic targets across GI diseases including IBD and Colorectal cancer. Dr Das’s research group is funded by various national funding bodies including Science Foundation Ireland, HRB and Irish Research Council as well as international agencies such as European Cohn’s and Colitis Organisation.
Dr Das has published various high impact publications in journals such as Nature communications, Cancer Discovery, Cancer Research, Gut Hep advances to name a few. In addition to leading his research group, Dr Das is also the Programme Director of a recently launched MSc in Technologies and Analytics in Precision Medicine funded by the Higher Education Authority.
