Professor Edmond Magner holds a B.Sc. (1983), University College, Cork, a M.S. (1985), as well as a Ph.D. (1988), University of Rochester. Postdoctoral fellow, Imperial College (1989-92), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1992-94). Scientist and Senior Scientist, Medisense, Inc. and Abbott Laboratories, Massachusetts (1994-97). Lecturer (1997-2002), Senior Lecturer (2002-07), Associate Professor (2007-12), Professor of Electrochemistry (2012- ); Director, Materials and Surface Science Institute; Executive Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering (2014-19), University of Limerick.
