Aoife Morrin

Investigator

Aoife is an Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry at DCU, holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry (DCU, 2004) and BSc in Chemistry and Mathematics (DIT, 2000). Aoife's work involves active research in understanding the human skin's volatile and microbial emissions using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry with the goal of leveraging this new knowledge into wearable sensor design. Materials of interest include stimuli-responsive polymers and modifications for biosensor and gas sensor design. >70 research papers, 9 review papers, 1 book (h-Index:30; >3800 citations).
