Yixin is interested in how interaction among various actors and entities matters for developing and scaling entrepreneurial and innovative projects. Her research works especially revolve around the influence of physical workplace settings and digital transformation in terms of how interaction in physical and virtual spaces facilitates collaboration among entrepreneurial individuals and resources. Among others, Yixin’s research papers and articles on entrepreneurship and innovation appear in Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Review of Managerial Science, Business Horizon, and International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing. Her work on entrepreneurial ecosystems was selected as “Best Paper” in the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management.
