Once the top needs are identified, BioInnovate innovators begin the Invent phase. Participants brainstorm and generate hundreds of potential solutions for each of their high-priority needs. They then refine and evaluate these ideas against key criteria to ensure they address the identified challenges.

Throughout this stage, the participants explore the feasibility of their concepts, considering intellectual property, business models, regulatory and reimbursement pathways. By the end of the phase, the team arrives at a lead solution that has undergone rigorous evaluation and refinement. The process ensures that the final concept has a real chance of advancing and making a tangible impact on patient care.
