Welcome to the University of Galway's University of Sanctuary (UoS) Scholarship Programme
Buildng upon the work of the Inclusive Centenaries and Admissions Office scholarship programmes, the UoS Scholarship Programme opened for applications in 2019. The programme is designed to increase participation at the University of Galway among International Protection applicants, refugees, vulnerable immigrant groups and Irish Travellers. The scholarship programme has welcomed 71 students from 24 countries to the University.
What does the UoS Scholarship include?
Each UoS scholarship includes:
- Full Fee Waiver (except student levy)
- Annual Stipend of €3,300
- Support & Academic Mentoring
The 2025-2026 scholarship application is now open and applications will close on Friday, 11th of July at 12:00 PM.
