Speaking Truth, Leading Change: A Conversation with Zelda Perkins
Zelda Perkins, former assistant to Harvey Weinstein, broke her non-disclosure agreement to expose systemic abuse, and has since become a leading voice for reform. As co-founder of Can’t Buy My Silence, she has turned an act of personal courage into a global campaign transforming how we think about power, secrecy, and accountability.
In this year’s Sheehy Skeffington Lecture, Zelda reflects on leadership, resilience, and the challenge of sustaining change—from individual refusal to collective reform. This fireside chat explores what ethical leadership looks like today, and how courage can spark transformation.
About the Speakers
Zelda Perkins
Co-founder, Can’t Buy My Silence
Zelda Perkins was the first woman to break a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with Harvey Weinstein in 2017, exposing the systemic misuse of NDAs to silence victims. Her testimony before two UK parliamentary inquiries led to disciplinary action against Weinstein’s lawyer and inspired legislative reforms in the UK, Ireland, Canada, and Australia—the first of their kind to restrict the unethical use of NDAs. Through Can’t Buy My Silence, she continues to campaign globally for accountability, transparency, and justice.
