Biography

Since February 2016, Constantina has been a Lecturer in Inorganic Chemistry in the School of Chemistry, NUI Galway. She started her academic career at the University of Patras, Greece, where she performed PhD research under the supervision of Prof. Spyros P. Perlepes. After postdoctoral work with Prof. George Christou at the University of Florida (2008-2011), she was granted a Marie Curie fellowship and moved to the University of Cyprus (2011-2016).
Constantina has published over 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Research Interests

Synthesis and characterization of 3d, 4f and 3d-4f metal clusters and coordination polymers with emphasis in the development of synthetic procedures towards new functional materials possessing interesting magnetic, sorption, optical and/or biomedical properties.
