Comhdháil Roinn na Gaeilge
An Chomhdháil ar Litríocht agus ar Chultúr na Gaeilge
Beidh an Chomhdháil ar Litríocht agus ar Chultúr na Gaeilge ar siúl Dé hAoine agus Dé Sathairn, 27-28 Meán Fómhair 2024 ag Áras na Gaeilge, Ollscoil na Gaillimhe.
Ómós Áite
“... is beag cnoc agus is beag fód den talamh nár móradh, nach raibh scéal le haithris ina thaobh, nach raibh dia nó bandia nó laoch nasctha leis, agus ainm an loig sin le buanú dá réir.”
- Seán Ó Tuama, ‘Ómós Áite: A rian ar scríbhneoirí in Éirinn’ in Comhar, 51(5), lch. 179.
Déanfar plé ag Comhdháil na bliana seo ar an ómós áite i litríocht agus i gcultúr na Gaeilge, idir shean agus nua, idir léannta agus ealaíonta. I measc na bpáipéar a léifear, déanfar trácht ar an ómós áite mar a léirítear é sna réimsí seo a leanas: an t-ómós áite sa litríocht mheánaoiseach; feidhm an logainm san fhilíocht; ról na léarscáile san úrscéal stairiúil; tábhacht an cheoil agus na n-amhrán i ngearrscéalta Uí Chadhain; an t-ómós áite uirbeach agus gnásanna ainmnithe sráidainmneacha; an áit sa seanchas pearsanta, agus go leor eile.
Beidh an Dr Ailbhe Nic Giolla Chomhaill (Ollscoil Luimnigh), an Dr Mairéad Conneely (Coláiste San Aingeal, Ollscoil Teicneolaíochta an Atlantaigh), agus an Dr Caoimhín Ó Muirí (Coláiste na hOllscoile, Corcaigh) mar aoichainteoirí ag comhdháil na bliana seo. Is é an tOllamh Louis de Paor a sheolfaidh an Chomhdháil ar an Aoine, 27 Meán Fómhair.
