Develop your skills, gain recognition, and make the most of your time in Galway.

At the English Language Centre, we understand that studying through English can be challenging — and we’re here to help you thrive.

Our In-Sessional English for Academic Purposes (EAP) workshops are designed to support international students at every level, undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD, as well as Erasmus students who want to improve their academic and communication skills during their studies.

All of our In-Sessional classes now contribute to the University Skills Passport (USP), giving you official recognition for your personal and academic development.
By participating in these workshops, you can earn USP credits while strengthening your confidence in English for study, research, and global communication.

Language learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door.
Throughout the year, we organise cultural and social events, from hurling matches and table quizzes to informal meet-ups and local excursions, to help you practise English naturally and experience Irish culture first-hand.
