Our current vacancies

CÚRAM continues to have vacancies on an ongoing basis for MSc, PhD and Postdoctoral researchers in projects associated with the development of biomaterials, biomedical engineering, tissue engineering, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, veterinary medicine and medicine based platforms.  Candidates interested in gaining experience in preclinical experience are also sought.

Postdoctoral Researcher at School of Pharmacy, University College Cork (UCC)

Position Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time or part-time, fixed term contract as Postdoctoral Researcher at School of Pharmacy, University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. The candidate will be hosted in collaboration with the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Directorate of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) for the duration of this post. The position is available initially for 1-1.5 year. This position is funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) in collaboration with CURAM, an SFI Research Centre for Medical Devices.

 

Criteria 

  • A PhD qualification or nearing thesis submission.
  • Appropriate research experience.
  • Appropriate technical competence and accomplishment.
  • A capability of working within a project team to achieve results.
  • Good communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to gaining practical experience working on a research project.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Please note that Garda vetting and international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.

Research Assistant – Science Engagement

Research Assistant – Science Engagement, 0.5 FTE, CÚRAM, 010343 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed term position as a Research Assistant in Science Engagement with CÚRAM, SFI Research Centre for Medical Devices at the University of Galway, Ireland.
 
This position is funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) and is available from 1st of August 2024 to contract end date of 30th of April 2025.
 
Salary: Research Assistant salary scale €31,150 - €41,033 per annum, (subject to the project’s funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.
 
Closing date for receipt of applications is 17:00 (Irish Time) on 23rd of May 2024. It will not be possible to consider applications received after the closing date.
