Nuns' Island Masterplan
Share Your Vision for Nuns' Island
Public Invited to Share their Vision for Nuns’ Island
Venue and Date: O’Donoghue Centre, South Campus, NUI Galway, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd June 2019 from 10am to 3pm
The masterplan promotes a strong, coherent vision for Nuns' Island that would put it back as a destination place on the Galway map.
The site benefits from a prominent central position in Galway, with proximity to the city centre and main facilities, fantastic views across the River Corrib and natural and historical settings. It represents a tremendous opportunity for Galway to build upon its strengths to create a new place with a strong identity and a well defined character, building upon its history to promote its future.
