What Our Students Say

Aaron Gallagher | Cybersecurity and Software Development
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Geology and recently completed the Springboard-funded Level-9 Diploma in Cybersecurity and Software Development through the School of Computer Science at the University of Galway. Prior to transitioning into tech, I worked in construction project management. The conversion course has been instrumental in accelerating my career in cybersecurity. Thanks to the course's internship component, I secured a position as a Cybersecurity Analyst with the German Space Agency, "DLR Space Applications Institute mbH". In my new role, I have applied the skills learned during my studies to the Galileo project, Europe’s global navigation satellite system. I am deeply grateful to the team at the University of Galway for their outstanding support and for organising such a comprehensive and engaging course. Their guidance has helped me transition into an exciting and rewarding career in cybersecurity. The course was challenging but immensely rewarding, opening doors to opportunities I wouldn’t have otherwise encountered.

Méabh O'Regan | MSc Ag Innovation
When I first started my journey in 2020 with Springboard, I had a young child and was looking to transition away from operations management to something with more family-friendly working hours. Finding an affordable and flexible course was essential for me, and Springboard delivered exactly what I needed in a MSc with the Technological University Dublin. Fast forward to today, and I’ve been working with the HSE and National Ambulance Service for almost three years. Deciding to pursue a second master's in AgInnovation was a personal challenge - something I wanted to do to broaden my knowledge and push myself further. I can honestly say it’s been a fantastic experience all around. I’ve absolutely loved the course in University of Galway and would recommend Springboard courses to anyone looking to advance their career or pursue new passions. The flexibility, hybrid learning options, and understanding of the demands of busy lives made it the perfect choice for those working or juggling multiple responsibilities. Thank you, Springboard, for making lifelong learning so accessible and rewarding!
