April 2017 NUI Galway Law Lecture on ‘The Judiciary, the State and Social Change’

The School of Law is hosting a half-day conference on Wednesday, 5 April on the theme “The Judiciary, the State and Social Change”. The conference will focus, in particular, on proposed reforms to the judicial appointments system.

Speakers include:

• Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, author of ‘The Politics of Judicial Selection in Ireland’
• Dr Tom Hickey of Dublin City University and co-editor of ‘Judges, Politics and the Irish Constitution’
