Biography

I am an environmental scientist interested in the chemical and biological processes for environmental biotechnological applications. I obtained my BSc degree in Industrial Chemistry in July 2010 at Bologna University (Italy) and my MSc in Geochemistry in August 2012 at Utrecht University (the Netherlands). I obtained my PhD in Environmental Technology in June 2017 from UNESCO-IHE (the Netherlands), University of Paris-Est (France) and University of Cassino (Italy) as part of the Environmental Technology for soil, soilid and sediment (ETeCoS3) Erasmus joint doctorate project.

Teaching Interests

One of my long-term objectives is to grow as a scientist and expand my ability of supporting and leading a scientific team. Growing as a lecturer at the University is part of the fulfilment of this goal.

I have given lectures in the regular Biotechnology program for undergraduate students of Environmental Biotechnology at NUI Galway (Ireland) and in a PhD course on the analytics for environmental technology analysis, specifically on nanoscale secondary ion mass spectrometry (NanoSIMS), at IHE Delft (the Netherlands). I am supervising undergraduate students and co-supervising PhD students.
I would like to improve and expand my teaching skills to progress in my academic career.
