Taster Day Selection Process
- This is a community outreach event- It is the aim of the programme to engage as many schools as possible and as such 5 places will be offered per school in Galway city and county.
- In line with the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences’ commitment to widening participation, the process for allocating remaining or additional available places will prioritise students from backgrounds or entry pathways traditionally underrepresented in the College student body.
- Individual TY students can apply via the online application system Here
- In the event that that College receives less than five applicants per secondary school, the remaining places will be allocated to schools where additional applications have been received, with DEIS schools being prioritised.
- If more than 5 students apply from each school there will be a random selection of students.
- Additional places will be reserved for students taking QQI (FETAC o NCVA) Level 5 qualifications.
- Individual canvassing for places will not be supported.
- Applications are now closed.
