Biography

I am a Ph.D. student in the Unit for Linguistic Data, Data Science Institute at the National University of Ireland Galway, Ireland, under the supervision of Dr. John McCrae and co-supervised by Dr. Theodorus Fransen. I am also part of the SFI Center for Research Training in Artificial Intelligence (CRT-AI). I hold an M.A. in Linguistics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and M.Phil. in Linguistics from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, India. I have also worked as a senior linguist at Samsung R&D, Banglore, India, and Panlingua Language Processing LLP, New Delhi, India. As a linguist, my research area and academic background lie at the junction of Linguistics and Computer Science, focusing on Natural Language Processing. Currently, I am working on minority languages of India, Magahi and Bhojpuri in particular.
