Staff Profiles

I'm an environmental scientist interested in treatment of wastewater and recovery of value added products through biological and membrane separation processes. I obtained my B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) in Biotechnology from Anna University, Chennai, India. I completed my M.S (Master of Science) from VIT University, Vellore, India. I went onto complete my PhD in Environmental Engineering from RMIT University, Australia, that was funded by  Australia India Institute through Victoria India Doctoral Scholarship programme. My PhD study was on treatment of lead contaminated high strength wastewater through nano-sorbent, biological and membrane process with a specific focus on Membrane Bioreactor system. Presently, I work as a Postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Piet Lens. where I'm looking to recovery value added products from anaerobically digested wastes.
