Biography

I am currently working as postdoctoral researcher in the Microbiology Department at School of Natural Sciences and Ryan Institute at National University of Ireland at Galway. My work focuses on biological removal of selenite and selenate from wastewater and their recovery as selenium nanoparticle, synthesis of metal selenide nanoparticle and their application in photocatalytic reactions. I completed my Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India in the year 2018. Prior to that I have completed my MTech in Environmental Engineering from NITK Surathkal (2013) and BEng in Biotechnology from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka, India (2011). My research interest includes bioenergy, environmental biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, waste to energy, wastewater treatment, bioreactors and algal bio-processes etc.
