DT1148 Chemistry
Chemistry is concerned with molecules — what they are, and how and why they behave as they do. The aim of this module is to give you a solid understanding of the processes that occur at a molecular level. Equipped with this foundation you should be able to analyse and tackle real-life chemical problems.
Application Deadline: 25th August
The module looks at the structure of atoms and molecules, and at their properties and interactions. Many examples are provided which show how theory is put into practice. This module also helps you to develop the skill of ‘problem solving’. It provides many examples in which you are expected to integrate knowledge and skills from various sources in analysing and solving problems. In this module you will learn how the properties of matter depend on what happens at the level of molecules. You will learn how these basic building blocks interact with each other, why these interactions occur, and how they affect the properties of matter.
